Accident

DATE & TIME: 11-12-2021 @ 1643 hours

LOCATION: South 23rd Rd. between E Sage Rd. and E Pine Rd.

On November 12th, 2021, at approximately 1643 hours, deputies from the Gage County Sheriff’s Office, Beatrice Fire & Rescue, and Wymore EMS were dispatched to a one vehicle accident rollover on S 23rd Rd just north of the residence at 42634 S 23rd Rd.

The accident investigation revealed that a White 2006 Chevrolet Silverado K1500 pickup truck driven by a 16-year-old male from Blue Springs, NE, was traveling north on S 23rd Rd. and swerved to miss a deer and ended up driving off the road into the east side shoulder of the road and rolling over his vehicle. The driver was ejected from the vehicle.

Beatrice Fire & Rescue personnel treated the driver while Wymore EMS treated the passenger, a 16-year-old male also from Blue Springs, NE. The driver was transported by Beatrice Fire & Rescue to Bryan West Hospital in Lincoln, Nebraska for his injuries. Wymore EMS transported the passenger to Beatrice Community Hospital for his injuries

Neither alcohol or drugs are believed to be a factor in this accident. 

Speed is not believed to be a factor in this accident.

Seat belts were not used during the accident.
